Thank you to all who volunteered for the Great American Cleanup!
Volunteers were able to clean out the creek bed and along Clinton from Bethany to Redhaw. Everything is stacked off to the side in the parking lot by the creek and the city will come around to collect it within 48 hours.
We collected about 10 trash bags, a Chevy truck hood, bumpers, a tire, a fence rail, a broken shelving unit, spare wood, and much more from these areas. Volunteers did an amazing job!
PROGRAM INFORMATION:
The Great American Cleanup in Fort Wayne was scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Fort Wayne - The Great American Cleanup is the nation's largest community improvement program that Fort Wayne has participated in for over 30 years. It is a time when we can show our community pride by lending a hand to clean up littered roadsides, parks, trails and riverways.
A clean city makes a difference: It looks better to residents and visitors, and it improves the overall quality of life. Litter, graffiti, unkempt parks and trails, and scattered debris create unsightly areas that would give visitors the wrong impression. Through the work of volunteers, we can come together and show how much we care about Fort Wayne's neighborhoods and public spaces.
The City provides groups with garbage bags, gloves, and T-shirts.
Crestwood's Spring Garage Sale
Thank you to all who participated in this Spring's garage sale and volunteered at Crestwood's free tent! We were able to raise funds for the neighborhood and give back to the community!
Dumpster Day was a complete success! Thanks again to all who stepped up to help! We filled a compacting trash truck AND a roll off dumpster. That was impressive! We have some takeaways for the Dumpster Day in the Fall and are continuing to improve and grow as a neighborhood.

On June 17, 2025, the Crestwood Neighborhood Association officially merged with the neighboring communities of:
North Sherwood Terrace
Silver Maples
Summerfield
These areas are now fully part of Crestwood, forming one united neighborhood association. This decision was approved by resident vote and is formally recognized by the City of Fort Wayne.
A stronger collective voice in city conversations and planning
Unified identity and signage across all areas
Streamlined communication and leadership structure
Increased membership, resulting in more dues collected and a larger budget
More resources = more events, beautification projects, and neighborhood improvements
Together, we are building a more inclusive, active, and supportive community under one name — Crestwood.
