Pictures with Santa!

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025
Time: 11AM - 1PM
Place: Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Ln, Fort Wayne, IN 46825

Get ready for some holiday cheer! Santa is coming to Crestwood, and he’s bringing the magic of the North Pole right to our neighborhood.

Bring the kids to meet Santa, take photos, and share their Christmas wishes! Enjoy a cozy hot cocoa bar, fresh coffee, and homemade cookies while you mingle with neighbors and celebrate the season. Each child will receive a special goodie bag of treats from Santa to take home.

Lotus Moon photography is volunteering to take pictures for the neighborhood once again! (They took pictures for our block party and they were AMAZING!) Check out their Facebook page Lotus Moon Photography They'll be there approximately around 11:30 AM to set up, but families are welcome to take pictures as well.

Crestwood hosts several events throughout the year to foster community, encourage involvement, and improve our shared space.

1. ✅ Dumpster Day – May 2025
  Overwhelming turnout with support from city services.
2. 🛍️ Neighborhood Garage Sale – June 2025
  Despite weather challenges, multiple homes participated.
3. 🗳️ Merger Vote & Special Meeting – June 17, 2025
  Voted to combine Crestwood with neighboring areas into a single unified association.
4. Crestwood's First -Ever Block Party! Sept. 6, 2025: This was a HUGE success and had roughly 255 residents check in!- Check out photos from the event: Block Party Photos
5. Fall Garage Sale – September 12, 13, & 14, 2025
  A full weekend of yard sales throughout the neighborhood. No permit required.
  ASSOCIATION FREE TENT was hosted at 1604 Tulip Tree. Neighbors donated and dropped off items. All items were given away for free and donations were accepted. All funds raised went directly back into the neighborhood fund! This was very successful and we intend to continue this next season!
6. Fall Dumpster Day – Saturday, September 20, 2025
  9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Corner of Cinnamon Rd and Baytree Dr.
  Metal scaps and salvagable items were set aside and sold. All funds went directly back to the neighborhood fund. Thanks to all who participated and helped make this happen!

Grant Opportunities: Crestwood was previously awarded $5k for a Neighborhood Improvement Grant. We are in the process of obtaining quotes for our Neighborhood Entrance Signs. Expected install Late Fall 2025 or Early Spring 2026
School Zone crosswalks in Crestwood to be painted soon.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Neighborhood Merger: A Stronger, United Crestwood

On June 17, 2025, the Crestwood Neighborhood Association officially merged with the neighboring communities of:

North Sherwood Terrace
Silver Maples
Summerfield

These areas are now fully part of Crestwood, forming one united neighborhood association. This decision was approved by resident vote and is formally recognized by the City of Fort Wayne.

Why the Merger Matters

A stronger collective voice in city conversations and planning
Unified identity and signage across all areas
Streamlined communication and leadership structure
Increased membership, resulting in more dues collected and a larger budget
More resources = more events, beautification projects, and neighborhood improvements

Together, we are building a more inclusive, active, and supportive community under one name — Crestwood.
